My Twilight experience, pt.1
(By the way, you get extra brownie points for correctly naming which film my lj cut quote is from.)
So
I ended up changing my mind for my T-shirt theme. It just made more sense to me to make a shirt proclaiming my loyalty to Robin McKinley's infinitely superb vampire romance Sunshine. (For more information, clickety click.)
Here is the finished product, with a couple of quotes to explain.
In case you can't make it out, the text says: "Sunshine: brighter than twilight". Beneath it is an oak tree (as a ward against vampires, and also to symbolize Sunshine's tree-self), with a swirly gold sun above it on the right. That green thing under it is a six-pointed star inside a circle, and the gold thing on the left is a semi-fancy cross with a green "gem" in the middle.
The text, from top to bottom: "TEAM CONSTANTINE" "He's not a tame vampire..." "...fight-or-flight, help-we're-prey-and-HEY-STUPID-THAT'S-A-V
"...well, to start with, with the old, most basic ward symbol: a cross and a six-pointed star inside a circle....I didn't want to peer too closely, but there were rather a lot of other symbols keeping the standard one company: the staked heart (I hated this one, however simple and coolly nonspecific the design), the perfect triangle, the oak tree, the unfallen angel, true grief, the singing lizard, the sun and moon." pgs. 32-33 (If it's bolded, it's on the front; italicized, on the back.)
"What was new was the fact that, despite my heart doing its fight-or-flight, help-we're-prey-and-HEY-STUPID-THAT'S-A-V
"'What is your favorite fairy tale?'
I made a noise that under other circumstances might have been a laugh. 'Beauty and the Beast,' I said.
'Tell me that one.'
'What?'
'Tell me the fairy tale of Beauty and the Beast,' he said." pg. 42
Thanks to everyone at

and yes, i must agree with your struck-through words, that indeed moving HPHBP to next summer is STUPID!!
but you already know my opinion on this...
(:
Yes, I had to do that. ;)
I do know your opinion on that! I can readz ur mind thru internet...*makes scary hands a la Draco Malfoy in HP3*
I would love to see some depictions of what she meant by the singing lizard, true grief, and such. I wanted to include those too, but I had little/no idea what they would look like.
